The Death Of Google Ads

Over the past few weeks, I have seen again and again policy changes and the shouting of the apparent death of Google Ads. Do I believe any of this? For the most part no. What happens with all marketing platforms is that it gets harder and harder to compete on them due to the increase of general knowledge and competition. The new IOS update will sure make things more difficult, but the people who were already winning on this platform will likely continue to win because of their adaptability.

Imagine Google Ads as just another marketing platform and compare it to all the other ones that have faced huge changes in the past. Think about email and the introduction of spam filters. Think about cold calling and the introduction of no-call lists. As Gary Vaynerchuk so nicely said it “marketers ruin everything”. If I could add on to this “marketers ruin everything for unskilled marketers”. I say this because if you are in the top five percent of all advertisers or marketers skill-wise none of these changes will likely have any significant effect. Remember it is not the strongest or the one with the most money who survives, it’s the most adaptable.
